Mayco Glazes
Some time ago, I bought some Mayco glazes;
I wanted to incorporate crystals,
transparency, and a fluid, watery effect.
The crystals dissolve at the melting point,
creating a surface with a rounded, organic appearance.
This glaze features bluish and reddish hues,
with green-tinted “special notes.”
I applied this glaze over a base made from clay from La Barrosa Beach—
first bisque-fired, then fired a second time.
La Barrosa Beach owes its name to this clay; *Barrosa* translates to "pink clay" (*barro rosa*).
The texture of the clay granules is visible within the glaze composition,
and I like it that way, even though the formal possibilities are endless.
I adjusted the kiln parameters, resulting in subtle variations in
the color nuances.
Time and temperature:
this relationship shapes the colors.
I like the “Non-Toxic” specification.
It says "non-toxic" and "non-hazardous."
(when used according to specifications)
This is truly important.
(when creating products, designs, texts, or laws)
In any creation, there are possibilities for “use.”
And usability holds the key.
Any resource can be considered valuable if its “use”
contributes to HEALTHY GROWTH.
“Non-toxic”
It is possible, it can happen, that natural clays will turn
a different color; it is possible,
it can happen, that the chromatic composition
will be fluid and that this exciting uncertainty will lead
to the best of births.
Placing a piece in the kiln is,
an exciting uncertainty.
That's how it feels.

It was very kind of him to offer his congratulations and encourage me
to carry out my project. I am grateful. I loved his book:

And what a garden it is!
Perhaps one day we will have the chance to meet and share our thoughts;
I love his vision. Personally, however, I believe that a healthy economy
is perfectly compatible with the values of ecology and regeneration.
WEALTH IS HOLISTIC.
I would love to discuss these ideas with him; his book is truly wonderful.

Esmaltes Mayco
Hace tiempo, compré unos esmaltes Mayco, quería integrar los cristales, la transparencia y el efecto fluido y acuoso.
Los cristales se diluyen en un punto de fusión, y conforman una superficie de aspecto biológico, redondeado.
Este esmalte tiene unos colores azulados y rojizos, con unas “special notes”
matizadas en color verde.
He utilizado este esmalte sobre una base primero bizcochada, después cocida por segunda vez, con barros de la playa de la Barrosa.
La playa de la Barrosa, le debe su nombre a estos barros, Barrosa quiere decir, barro rosa.
La textura de los gránulos de este barro es visible en la composición del esmalte, y me gusta así, aunque las posibilidades formales son infinitas.
He cambiado los parámetros del horno, los matices aparecen con pequeñas variaciones.
(Tiempo + Temperatura)
Esta relación conforma los colores.
Todo recurso se puede considerar valorable, si su “uso” contribuye a un CRECIMIENTO SALUDABLE.
“Non Toxic”
Es posible, puede ocurrir, que los barros naturales se tornen
de otro color, es posible,
puede ocurrir, que la composición cromática sea fluida y que esta incertidumbre ilusionante lleve
al mejor de los nacimientos.
Introducir una pieza en el horno es,
una incertidumbre ilusionante.
Así se siente.
