Creating in real time.
All morning working on the circular pieces, I've been placing them on the table like gears; they can turn, turn, and move.
Thus, in the stillness of the static,
they inspire movement in me.
My works are alive and in motion.
The compositional possibilities are endless, as are their functions; the circle is the most dynamic and divine form that exists.
In fact, absolutely everything is curved.
(straight lines are curved!).
Perfect for exploring forms based on symmetry; symmetry is easily achieved,
it lends itself to it.
The new high-fire clays.
A blend of stoneware and translucent Ártika porcelain,
using the *nerikomi* technique,
creating visible, watery lines—
a very fluid look,
where the clays seem to move.
It forms a watery pattern,
rich in visual nuances and subtleties.
It has incredible plasticity!
Very flexible, with a fine, velvety texture—
a real pleasure to work with on the wheel.
Creando a tiempo real.
Toda la mañana trabajando en las piezas circulares,
las he ido situando en la mesa a modo de engranaje,
pueden girar, girar y moverse. Así, en la quietud de lo estático, me inspiran movimiento.
Mis trabajos están vivos y se mueven.
Las posibilidades compositivas son infinitas, así como sus funciones, el círculo es la forma más dinámica y divina que existe. En realidad, absolutamente todo es curvo.
(las líneas rectas ¡son curvas!).
Perfecta para explorar formas a partir de una simetría, la simetría se alcanza con facilidad,
se presta a ello.
Las arcillas chamoteadas, con chamota,
no son las más idóneas para trabajar en el torno,
si tienen mucha textura, muchas piedrecitas y arenilla,
se queman las manos. A mí me pasó. Si el barro tiene chamota,
se mezclan la velocidad, la textura bastorrotota, y la fricción.
Se queman las manos.
Los barros nuevos de alta temperatura.
Mezcla de gres y porcelana ártika translúcida,
con técnica de nerikomi,
de forma que son visibles líneas acuosas,
un aspecto muy fluido,
se mueven las arcillas.
Conforma un dibujo acuoso,
con matices y sutilezas a nivel visual.
¡tiene muchísima plasticidad!
Muy flexible, muy fina su textura, aterciopelada, muy agradable para trabajar en el torno.
