This
work is part of the *“Revealing Mirror”* cycle, which reflects
the hidden side of people and things, or the possibility of glimpsing
one or more events along the course of life.
Set
in a surreal atelier, three mirrors reflect a single subject—the
mannequin, used here as a symbol of humankind—offering three
possible metamorphoses and existential outcomes.
In
the central mirror, the transparent mannequin remains unchanged. It
represents an individual with integrity, judgment, and
empathy—someone who values clarity and inner strength. No
transformation occurs.
In
the left mirror, the mannequin has conformed to dominant trends,
losing all individual traits. Its metamorphosis is marked by the
absence of a head—no longer thinking, or perhaps no longer able to.
In
the right mirror, the mannequin has undergone a double metamorphosis:
its body has become rough, hardened, and its face, now bronze,
reveals a false, arrogant, and dishonest character.
The
underlying doubt remains: will the transparent figure manage to
preserve its essence, or will life’s circumstances and encounters
lead it to become empty—or corrupted?
