There are three elements that have always attracted my attention: shape, color, and light. In my work as an architect and artist, I have tried my best to understand and master the rules, only to then break them through a deconstruction based on the alternative use of traditional tools.
The study of shape led me to an organic approach that favors the curved line and complex non-Euclidean geometries. The search for new forms has led me towards harmony and balance, utilizing drawing and computational modeling through generative algorithms. The study of color and light has directed me towards digital photography and rendering, with all its modifiable parameters and fascinating results.
Over time, there has been an evolution thanks to an in-depth scientific exploration of new technological tools: three-dimensional modelers, digital painting software, photography, laser modeling, and numerical control modeling (which I have been involved with since the 90s when I collaborated for a period with the Faculty of Engineering in Naples). All these experiences and tools are aimed at seeking their unconventional artistic use.
I am very interested and fascinated by observing artistic matter evolving in "real-time" through the use of cutting-edge tools such as generative algorithms (which have nothing to do with artificial intelligence). These have become a reference in all fields, and I believe they can become a starting point for the search for new expressive means, particularly in art. I am currently engaged in the search for new complex and harmonic forms and surfaces through algorithmic computational modeling.
I have exhibited some works in a solo exhibition titled "Light Color Shape," held at the Pappacoda Chapel by invitation of the University of Naples "L'Orientale." I have exhibited in various group exhibitions, including one at the Municipal Art Gallery of Gaeta. I have created many images with a strong artistic imprint for various companies. I have participated in the "Open House Architecture" exhibition circuit, presenting a selection of my digital works to the public.
