This painting was inspired by a photograph taken by my son during his journey to Japan. In the distance rises the majestic Mount Fuji, surrounded by delicate Japanese cherry blossoms in full bloom.
For me, this artwork carries a very personal and emotional story. It was in front of Mount Fuji that my son proposed to his future wife. This special moment of love and commitment became the inspiration behind the painting.
The soft blossoms symbolize beauty, renewal, and the fleeting yet precious moments of life, while Mount Fuji represents strength, eternity, and serenity. Through textured brushwork and vibrant colors, I wanted to capture not only the beauty of Japan’s iconic landscape, but also the emotion of a life-changing memory.
I created this painting as a wedding gift for my son and his wife — a tribute to love, family, and new beginnings.
