“Caribbean Vibes” is a mixed-media artwork from 2026. It is made of acrylic paint and painted collage paper, and consists of numerous layers of acrylic paint. Moving across painting and mixed media, I approach the canvas as a site of excavation, where the image retains the trace of its own making. This image comprises abstract shapes and surfaces rendered in vivid, expressive colours. It is a powerful, intense image in which form and space merge. It is mysterious and leaves room for different interpretations. The colours are inspired by the Caribbean.
