"Oops! I Did It..!" is a mixed-media artwork on canvas from 2025. It consists of acrylic paint, tissue paper and found images. It is a combination of acrylic painting and collage, where acrylic paint and the collage paper fragments engage in a subtle dialogue with one another. I have applied the acrylic paint with great sensitivity in several layers, resulting in a distinctly pictorial quality. In the main motif, painted and collaged elements alternate and interact with one another. It is impossible to tell the difference. Similarly, my intention was for the background to merge with the main motif; here, too, the distinction is not always apparent. In my practice I regard the canvas as a kind of archaeological site where the painting preserves the traces of its creation. "Oops! I Did It...!" is an imaginative painting with a silky colour palette. At the same time, it is humorous and features surreal elements. It has a playful character and invites the viewer to discover its secrets.
