Title of the Project: "Rosso VIVO"
Description of the Artwork:
"Rosso VIVO" is an artwork that celebrates the regenerative power of nature, the vital energy that flows through all living things, and the ability of life to manifest even in the smallest and most unexpected fragments. Composed of seven pieces of wood that time and natural elements have shaped, this creation is a tribute to the resilience of nature and the love that permeates everything, even what seems destined to be forgotten. These fragments of wood, which would have otherwise been abandoned or destroyed, were collected and painted with natural red pigment, a color chosen deliberately. The seven pieces have been colored red to ensure they do not go unnoticed, as often happens with nature's wonders, which the bored and superficial gaze of our lives tends to ignore. This vibrant red, symbolizing life and passion, invites the observer to pause, to see beyond the ordinary, to discover the hidden beauty in the details and fragments that nature provides.
Each piece has been carefully placed in the forest of the Tenuta Santanché, a place rich in history and dedication, created and lovingly maintained by Carlo Santanché, now ninety years old, and his children. This forest, a refuge of tranquility and beauty, embraces the artwork as part of its landscape, blending art and nature in an intimate and continuous dialogue. The "Rosso VIVO" project is not only a hymn to reuse and recycling but also a reflection on love and the ability of nature to regenerate and transform. Even a piece of bark, a burned stump, or a forgotten fragment can be revitalized and turned into a work of art, a piece of love that endures. These red fragments, scattered throughout the forest, evoke memories and emotions, which, like love, can be strong and resilient, even in the most difficult circumstances. The artwork also serves as a warning against the destruction of forests, devastated by fires or human negligence. Each piece of wood is a silent witness to the life we risk losing because of these tragedies, a symbol of the hope that everything can be revitalized if we commit to protecting and respecting nature. Through "Rosso VIVO," I invite reflection on how we can recognize and nurture the transformative power of love and nature, giving new life to what surrounds us, and remembering that love, like nature, always finds a way to resist and flourish, even in the face of destruction. Most importantly, I hope this work inspires a new and attentive gaze, capable of perceiving the beauty and value of what often escapes our distracted attention.
