Born in 1972 in Split, Croatia, she lives and works in Croatia. After completing her education, she began her career as a registered nurse. During the Croatian War of Independence, she joined the frontline medical effort, providing care and assistance to wounded soldiers. Following the war, she continued her professional work in healthcare.
Although she had felt a strong need for artistic expression throughout her life, she devoted herself seriously to painting later in adulthood. Initially self-taught, she pursued an intensive artistic development before enrolling in the Master Workshop of Croatian painter Tihomir Bašić, where she further refined her artistic language.
Her work explores themes of life, identity, memory, female experience, tradition, and cultural heritage. Personal experiences intertwine with collective memory, creating visual narratives that bridge the past and the present. Through expressive brushwork, rich textures, and vibrant color palettes, she creates works that celebrate resilience, beauty, hope, and the enduring strength of the human spirit.
She has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Croatia and abroad. Her artworks received awards for Outstanding Art Achievement in three categories from the international Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery. She was accepted to the international art platform Singulart and, following curatorial recommendation, was included among a selection of European artists to watch.
Her first solo exhibition is scheduled for July 2026.
Through her artistic practice, she seeks to create works that transcend local narratives and communicate universal values of human dignity, perseverance, and the affirmation of life. She is particularly inspired by powerful female figures such as Mila Gojsalić, the legendary heroine from her native region, through whom she explores themes of courage, identity, and collective memory. An equally important source of inspiration is the light, landscapes, and cultural heritage of Dalmatia. Through her work, she connects personal experience with the heritage of the place from which she originates, creating a dialogue between past and present, tradition and contemporary expression."
