The collection “Bad Girls” draws inspiration from several female figures of Greco-Roman mythology who, historically cast as embodiments of a negative archetype, now become a starting point for reflection on what it means to be a woman in the contemporary world.
Kìrke, Phaedra, Pasiphaë, Ariadne, and Medea emerge today as conscious and determined women, courageous in confronting their most intimate nature.
Phaedra, portrayed at the moment of her dilemma, suspended between desire and self-destruction, attempts to do what is right by trying to free herself from a destiny written by others, a fate from which she seeks escape.
Marquetry works created using Tabu Wood veneers in birch, carbalho oak, maple, frisé eucalyptus, ash, figured plane tree, figured oak, sycamore, and frisé tanganika.
