Inspired by the Mangue Beat movement and the idea of the manifest Caranguejos com Cérebro (Fred Zero Quatro) I wrote the text of the Electroctopus Manifesto as a trigger for the project. I remembered the years working in audiovisual and the monstros we made, monstros are videos made from reference materials so that the film can be better visualized during the decoupage process.
With the text in hand and the idea of the monstro, I put together this audiovisual piece that uses different materials, exploring their original contexts and their relationships with my subjectivity, in order to be able to re-signify them in a new autonomous discourse, which became the first piece of Electroctopus.
