A multitude of historical examples show
us the economic cycle that provides a livelihood for humans: military
technology provides work for engineers, shipping, the oil industry
and indirectly for many industries. The accumulated armaments of the
defense industry are waiting to be destroyed or deployed after a
while. The area destroyed during wars provides work for the
construction industry. For us, this is almost "natural", but for nature
it is fatal. This installation is built from the ground up and shows
us this vicious cycle. The debris of the carving following the
construction: the destructive human imagination draws the demarcation
line around it. At the end of the exhibition, we destroyed the
installation together with the visitors, showing that this way of
thinking is unsustainable! The purpose of the installation for me: to
stop this cycle with the power of art.
