Installation in Szentendre
In the Evangelical Church
We all have life-changing moments.
We receive signals that make us think, and outline the
possible directions. The boat is one of the most dening
symbols of Christianity. The churches architecturally we divide
it into ships, Noah's ark saved the living world from the
oodfrom its destruction...
This boat, which I made myself, oats suspended at one point.
When the anchor is released, it oats in the watercolor line
of the cross and rotates in a circlearound its own axis.
It nds its way and the wind aects its direction.
There is a strong point above our heads, the creative force
itself, which constantly directs usit shows and surely keeps us,
but the decision is in our hands!
In this instance, I wish to exhibit the boat in a new position—in a vertical orientation—under the title *Balance*; its interior is to be lined with salt, and the vessel itself set within a mound of salt. This serves as a reminder of sea levels, dwindling freshwater reserves, and the disrupted relationship between humanity and nature that increasingly defines our field of vision.
