Terra Madre
Terra Madre is a triptych that explores the tensions between exploitation, listening and care, questioning humanity's place within the living world.
Through three symbolic figures, the work stages opposing gestures: crushing, protecting and understanding. On one side lie the forces of consumption and domination that lead to the depletion of resources; on the other, the possibility of a relationship grounded in attention, responsibility and interdependence.
Embrace and auscultation become acts of resistance and healing. They invite us to see the Earth not as an object to be exploited, but as a living organism whose destiny is inseparable from our own.
Without yielding to catastrophism, Terra Madre conveys a message of hope. The work suggests that it is still possible to transform our relationship with the world: to listen rather than possess, to care rather than consume, to choose coexistence over exhaustion.
Between fragility and resilience, Terra Madre reminds us that the future of life remains, above all, in our hands.
