Suspended sculpture, Trayma Jacquard frosted in copper, Trani Musicco stones, Hand-shaped copper sheet with the application of glass powder fused at high temperatures (a technique of high-fired enamel abandoned in Italy in the 1970s and revived by Incalmi).
The work is completed by the artist's journal.
"Il Vuoto di Trayma" by Caterina Roppo, created with the technical collaboration of Incalmi, is an installation that addresses the theme of absence, symbolized by the void left by a female figure after a femicide. Through a deep reflection on epigenetic studies of trauma, the work highlights how violence leaves scars not only on individuals but also on collective memory. The installation also invites consideration of the importance of prevention, particularly in the field of mental health, encouraging a thoughtful and conscious dialogue on how to address trauma on a societal level.
