The Face of the Record' is a large-format work investigating the identity of the imprint through mirror symmetry. Conceived as a large open book, I use a central axis to double the tactile memory of the nets on high-grammage coated paper (Couché). Since the substrate is non-absorbent, the calcographic ink remains 'floating' on the surface, revealing anthropomorphic forms or totems born from controlled chance. It is a visual map reflecting on the traces we leave behind and how the repetition of the imprint constructs a new iconography.
