In this second piece of the series, the focus shifts toward texture and structure. By working with counter-relief on coated paper (Couché), I aim for the net to be more than just a trace; I want it to build a visual scaffolding. It is a play of pressures where the calcographic ink, unable to seep into the paper, expands and creates reliefs that only this substrate allows. Here, the controlled chance is denser, seeking for the overlapping mesh to generate a depth that tricks the eye, almost as if the paper itself had volume
