In this piece from the 'Blue Cave' series, printmaking becomes much more expansive and direct. Here, I use hand-cut PVC matrices to print the silhouettes of the fish and the bird, playing with layering over a collage of color marks. The blue net is not just a trace, but the element that sews and provides unity to the entire scene. I am interested in the dialogue between what flies and what swims, caught on the same plane where monotype and color patches generate a depth that traditional printmaking rarely allows
