Summer on the Côte d'Azur turns the Mediterranean into a stage. Yachts drift by, strangers cross paths, and every passing scene invites the imagination to fill in the blanks. I often swim and paddle between anchored yachts, boats and their floating platforms, sharing the same stretch of sea while wondering about the lives unfolding around me. So close, yet worlds apart, these encounters continue to spark my curiosity and inspire the stories I imagine beyond what I can see.
I distilled these observations into a bold graphic composition of geometric forms, Mediterranean blues and hand-painted collage. Playing with scale and contrast between the solitary diver and the fragment of a superyacht, this suspended moment becomes less a portrait of an individual than a reflection of possibility, anticipation and the quiet tension between curiosity and action.
Taking Aim celebrates the enduring allure of the French Riviera and those delicious moments of curiosity, imagination and people-watching on the Mediterranean.
