SUPERINTELLIGENCE
Acrylic on canvas, 100 x 140 cm
Elaiza Pozzi, 2025
Residual landscape of the Anthropocene. The scene takes place in Laguna Garzón, Uruguay, an area where native flora—cactus, shrubs, lowlands—resists as a living archive. The painting proposes a geography that could have existed before human language, and that perhaps survives its disappearance.
In the sky: a floating, ambiguous entity, somewhere between cloud, stone, or ship. It is the representation of a contemporary hyperobject: artificial intelligence, elusive in form, omnipresent in impact, invisible but decisive.
The work is part of a line of thought that destabilizes the anthropocentric narrative and proposes a sensitive critique of new forms of algorithmic colonization. What floats is not just a cloud: it is a control system, a data capture network, a surveillance cloud that hovers over a world that still pulsates, albeit eroded.
