Between Ruins and Sprouts

On a wounded planet, where the traces of the Anthropocene still smolder beneath the surface, life persists. This painting embodies a sympoietic future: a floating ecosystem, improbable and resilient, assembled from ruins, sprouts, and living presences that care for one another.
A bucket of water—container and vessel—carries the possibility of another world. Plant species that shouldn't be together coexist within it, as if allies in a new biological grammar. Cacti, grasses, flowering jacarandas. Attentive birds perch on the edge of imbalance. Each one—bird, branch, stone, or thorn—embodies a relationship of care, a gesture of shared survival.
The painting doesn't narrate, it summons. From its twilight palette, it places us on a temporal threshold: what is gone, what might come. The scene is delicate but not fragile. There is strength in the composition, as if the whole works through a silent alchemy between the elements.
In a world plagued by algorithms and devastation, this image resists through the sensitive, the material, the symbolic.
