This work is a visual tribute to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. But it goes beyond the traditional portrait and becomes an artistic reading of the meaning of leadership — leadership linked to identity, to history, and to continuity.
The face appears in reduced, direct lines, as if emerging from the memory of the nation more than from the features of a single person. It becomes a symbol of a long journey of building, wisdom, and belonging.
The name "Salman," written in Arabic calligraphy, stands at the center of the work as a visual axis that ties all the elements together. Below, horses run as a symbol of Arab authenticity, strength, and continuous movement toward the future. The horse here is not just a decorative element; it embodies the spirit of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia — a nation that preserved its roots while advancing steadily toward development and toward the vision.
The warm earth color that dominates the painting carries the meanings of the Saudi land, the desert, and the history. The golden touches add a symbolic value of glory, achievement, and national heritage. The diagonal line that crosses the painting serves as a bridge between past and present — a timeline that connects generations and affirms the continuity of the story.
I relied on symbolic simplification, in which several elements contribute to a single national narrative. I drew inspiration from the figure of King Salman bin Abdulaziz as a symbol of continuity and of connection to the national history. The blending of his features with the symbols of Arab horses and golden touches becomes a dialogue between leadership and Saudi cultural identity — exploring the relationship between national memory and the roots that shape the soul of the place and its people.
