I painted this work to present a symbolic artistic vision of Prince Mohammed bin Salman as part of the national transformation underway in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The face does not appear here in a full, realistic image. It merges with the map of Saudi Arabia, so that the person and the homeland become one single being, pointing to the connection between leadership, land, and identity.
The painting centers on the Prince's features in a traditional Saudi dress, while the borders of the Kingdom hold him as if they were memory, place, and belonging. Around him, green, blue, and gold flow in dynamic motion, expressing growth, renewal, and ambition — values tied to the great transformations the Kingdom is witnessing in the modern era.
The palm trees at the bottom carry the meanings of giving, of sustainability, and of attachment to the land. The flocks of birds symbolize moving forward toward the future and openness to the world. The contrast between warm and cool colors creates a sense of balance — between authenticity and progress, between deep roots and a forward-looking vision.
I relied on national symbolism more than on visual documentation. I present here a vision of a country living an exceptional moment of transformation, and I evoke the relationship between person and place, between dream and achievement.
By merging the map of the Kingdom with human features, I offer a visual reading that reflects my pride in Saudi identity and my belief in art's ability to document historical transformations in a universal language.
