Dear Marilyn: as the fourth painting belonging to the "Objects of Desire" series, Marilyn Monroe, a diva actress from the 1950s, is presented. Her physical attributes make up a groundbreaking aesthetic that was established in posterity, always associated with sensuality, desire, to the "consumable". In an attempt to convey that desire to "consume" a work of art, it was decided to pair, overlap and identify its most characteristic features, blonde hair and red lipstick with certain sweets that have a similar color palette and texture. So her signature platinum blonde hair is tied to vanilla custard, and her famous red lipstick resembles strawberry jelly. Starting from these two analogies, we sought to create colors and textures that contain the aforementioned analogies. These analogies also have a point of contact with some comments made by the actor Tony Curtis in the 1959 film "Some like it hot", where the actor catalogs Marilyn as a delicious jelly that contorts when walking.
