In this final canvas, the unfinished becomes a metaphor for contemporary Sardinian identity: something that continues to be built, transformed, and passed down without ever losing its roots.
The figures of Su Ballu Tundu appear primitive and essential, like archetypes suspended between tradition and transformation. The textured surface intentionally preserves incomplete marks, irregularities, and visual openings that become an integral part of the work itself. Wine, as a living and evolving material, interacts with wool and gold leaf, creating a balance between fragility, memory, and preciousness.
This artwork is a tribute to the most authentic Sardinia: a land that preserves its history precisely through its imperfections, its voids, and its continuous transformations.

In quest’ultima tela, il non finito si trasforma in metafora dell’identità sarda contemporanea: qualcosa che continua a costruirsi, modificarsi e tramandarsi senza mai perdere le proprie radici.
Le figure del Ballu Tundu appaiono primitive ed essenziali, quasi archetipi sospesi tra tradizione e trasformazione. La superficie materica conserva volutamente segni incompleti, irregolarità e aperture visive che diventano parte integrante dell’opera. Il vino, elemento vivo e mutevole, dialoga con la lana e la foglia oro creando un equilibrio tra fragilità, memoria e preziosità.
Quest’opera è un omaggio alla Sardegna più autentica: una terra che custodisce la propria storia proprio nelle sue imperfezioni, nei suoi vuoti e nelle sue continue trasformazioni.
