This series reflects on wandering as an allegory for life. My husband appears as the solitary figure walking through the Spanish Tabernas desert, repeating the same simple ritual, day after day. In that quiet monotony, small shifts emerge — changes in light, dust, gesture, and the steady presence of the dog beside him. The title echoes the idea of forty days in the desert as a period of stepping back to see more clearly. These walks remind me how brief and fragile our existence is, like a grain of sand, yet full of meaning in the small movements that shape our days.
Note: The works are framed in a wooden shadowbox. Size is per piece and without the shadowbox. They should be hung in a horizontal line, with about 5 cm between the frames. So the total width including spaces in-between and shadowboxes is 110 cm.
