Gerda Van Damme’s work investigates how memory, daily routines, and the passage of time shape human experience. In her paintings, she constructs narrative, almost cinematographic scenes that isolate small, familiar actions. These staged moments reveal the quiet absurdity embedded in everyday life and expose how time advances without drama yet leaves unmistakable traces.
