This work was a finalist work in the 17th edition of the Arte Laguna Prize.
Oscar's Chickens has been painted in a nostalgic narrative style, and the storytelling is about simple memories of my childhood. The focus and the black & white format are creating a reference to photography. Finally, what do we still own from our past, what steers our memory, besides some old objects and photographs?
I create my paintings based upon little fragments of different old family pictures, which I assemble into new settings. This painting is one of my project "The way we were".
