Ana Maria Reque, lives and works in Venice. Graduated in Architecture at the UPRP in Lima (1995); has carried out a
path of architectural and artistic studies and research, including:
-(1998) in Cencrem, UNESCO in Havana -Cuba.
-(2002) Specialization Diploma in Urban
and Rural Planning at the IUAV of Venice.
-(2015) Master's Degree in Sculpture, at
the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice, with the project "Peru and Italy,
cultures compared in ceramic sculpture"
From 2007 to 2022 responsible for the
Sculpture and Ceramics Laboratory "Art and Identity" at the Casa
dell'Ospitalità Foundation-Municipality of Venice
In the field of Interior Design,
she created a series of 64 sculpture-lamps, 25 lamps, registered in the Chamber
of Commerce of Venice, as a multiple model, #VE2015O000008
She was awarded in 2017-2021 two Academy A'Design Awards and Competition
Awards: in the Arts, Crafts and Ready-Made Design category. (2017 and 2021).
In the field of architecture, in Peru she founded the company Dio-Hogar Construcciones S.R.Lda.
(1995) and the "Habitat and Patrimonio" Association (2000). He has
built 40 houses for private use and several restoration and protection projects
of the architectural heritage in Peru. Two Churches of the Colonial Period
(S.XVII) in Ancash and Huanuco-Peru; were declared cultural heritage of the
nation (2009-2010).In Peru she founded the “Habitat and Heritage” Association.
In the artistic field, She works transversally with different disciplines,using drawing,
mosaic, ceramics, sculpture and lighting design. His research is aimed at
Deconstructivism in art and architecture, to reinterpret in a contemporary key
the traditional architectural forms of the historic cities of Venice, Verona,
Cuzco, Machu Picchu, Chavin, Lima.
The
goal is to integrate art and design. The work is transversal through the
integration of different disciplines and the fusion of ceramic with Murano
glass. In the last years 64 Lamps were
developed whith the collaboration of the Glassmakers Silvano Signoretto, Paolo
Giubelli and Tessaro Brothers. In 2020 it was possible to place some lamps
outside of Italy.
STATEMENT OF ART:
The design
begins in a local cultural context, after a process that allows its intrinsic
meaning to be transferred, in other cities, the product continually evolves,
acquiring a new syncretic expressive language. Art and design have a common
language: identity, creativity, experimentation and innovation
