Windflower

The kinetic sculpture ‘Windflower’ brings together opposites. A spatial framework of stainless steel tubes takes on organic forms inspired by the plant world. Steel, a hard and heavy material, takes on a soft form and appears astonishingly light. With its sweeping curves, the Windflower reaches towards the sun.

The silver-grey of the stainless steel reflects the colours of nature – the blue of the sky or the red of the sunset. The leaves play in the wind; even the slightest breeze sets them in motion. They move independently of one another, yet dance in harmony.

The Windflower invites you to observe and linger, offering a different view every time, depending on the light and the wind.
