Tensegrity II

The kinetic sculpture “Tensegrity II” plays with contrasts. Delicate cables span between massive steel tubes. Heavy metal moves with ease – in the wind, or when given a nudge. The movements are partly predictable, but then veer into chaos and back again. At times it moves surprisingly dynamic, but then reverts to a floating, meditative state. The mind can only partially grasp this. The sculpture is interactive. People are allowed and encouraged to feel it, understand it and directly perceive the results of their interaction. It invites dialogue, contemplation and reflection. What is happening here? Why does it move like this? What associations arise within me? How does it work?…

The approach can and should also be light-hearted and playful – simply give it a go and enjoy yourself.
