Material sculpture — Beeswax, reclaimed solid wood impregnated with propolis tincture.
In Greek, Agape represents unconditional, brotherly, and communal love that asks for nothing in return. Agape is the name of the farm I am part of, made up of people and hives that depend on one another.
This sculpture is a testament to absolute collaboration: first among the bees themselves, in their tireless and collective brotherly labor, and then between the beekeeper and the hive.
The process is a two-way dialogue: my initial intervention consists of melting and modeling the virgin wax, shaping a raw structure that serves as an invitation, a welcoming space. From that moment on, control shifts entirely to the bees. Free from predefined geometric constraints, they enter the space and complete the work, spontaneously weaving the warp of the natural honeycombs according to their own biological rhythm.
