Wall lamp (Applique) — Virgin beeswax, reclaimed solid wood, LED.
Trama is a wall lamp designed to bring the craftsmanship of the hive directly onto the walls of the home, integrating it into domestic architecture. The name carries a dual meaning: it evokes the plot (trama) of a story told in the evening, while also describing the geometric texture (trama) spontaneously woven by the bees.
In this piece, the wax settles into a vertical fissure carved into the wood. The internal LED light filters through the honeycomb, revealing the delicate transparency of the cells and casting a warm, soft glow on the wall, meant to accompany quiet moments
.
The uniqueness of each piece is inherent and inevitable: every wooden board used as a base carries its own history of knots and imperfections, and every bee colony designs its own unrepeatable texture at a pace proportional to the strength of the colony and the nectar flow.
I simply prepared the framework; the bees signed the exclusivity of the design.
