Lacrima del tempo is the first prototype, born in 2025 as a simple experiment. It is the piece that sparked the attempt to understand whether the dialogue between beekeeper and hive could also transform into a lighting object for everyday use.
The title also tells of the very nature of wax—a material that drips and accumulates, trapping the time and labor of the colony into a solid form. In this original piece, the wax is bare, without the glass protection introduced later, left exposed to the touch in all its fragility.
As the internal light filters through the wax, it reveals its layers and minor biological imperfections. It thus becomes a bedside lamp simply designed to keep company and spark the imagination before sleep—a piece where man organizes space in an orderly and standardizable manner, while nature gives life to a structure that is never the same.
