Performance 18

FINJA SANDER - Performance 18 (2019, UdK Berlin)

The total duration of the performance was 12 hours. The interaction with over 900 kilograms of clay resulted in numerous sculptural moments that reinforce the simulanity of my own role within my work. During the performative process I am both - an artist, an artistic object and the product of my own visions and the projections of the recipients. The physical training with a constantly recurring material explores one's own attitude and the potential to patiently and humbly get involved again and again and to subordinate one's own relevance to the artistic idea.
