UPFLOW - SYNTTOPY series
A flow that does not descend, but rises.
Water is not a decorative element: it is a generative force, an internal pressure that surfaces, overflows, and reorganizes matter.
The surface emerges from an accumulation of heterogeneous elements—paper, gauze, volcanic lapilli, graphite, copper mesh—layered and transformed until their original identity dissolves. Matter compacts, stiffens, becomes structure. Then something happens: the fluid emerges, crosses, disrupts hierarchies.
Turquoise drips trace unpredictable paths, creating connections between previously separate areas. There is no longer a top or bottom: the surface becomes a field of transition, where control yields to organic dynamics.
Gold is not ornament, but tension: it holds, reflects, resists.
Resin amplifies the movement, crystallizing the moment in which fluid meets matter and transforms it.
UPFLOW is a visible process:
a system that destabilizes and reorganizes,
matter that, traversed by water, reveals its essence.
