My name is Elisabetta Galli and SUBLIMATERIA is the name of my brand as an artist.
I am a clinical psychologist and coach, a mother of 2 and proud grandma of 2 little boys.
For over thirty years I have worked in corporate environments, closely observing the mechanisms of change, resistance, and transformation.
Today, all of this flows into my artistic language: a process of transmutation in which raw matter is elevated and becomes unique expression.
My life has been a sequence of sudden turns, leaps into the unknown, soaring flights like an eagle, and breathless moments — never without enthusiasm, never without the desire to learn and experiment. The creative tension that lives within me was born in childhood, when I spent hours drawing and painting. It remained alive beneath the surface, like glowing embers that breathe quietly, waiting for a breath of wind to rise again.
This is my time as an artist.
A personal, deep and non-linear space in which I channel my lived experience and emotions.
In my works coexist structure and fracture, cavities and reliefs, organic matter and raw elements. The contrast between the entropy of the universe and the syntropy of feminine energy flows through every creation.
In SUBLIMATERIA, matter takes form and becomes language — a visual and tactile experience that restores harmony, presence, and beauty to the processes of growth and metamorphosis.
I work mainly on wood panels and stretched canvases.
I use raw, natural materials, often reclaimed: textured pastes, papier-mâché, clay, ceramic compounds, rope, powdered pigments, resins, acrylic colors, and gold leaf.
I am drawn to the colors of the earth and nature, to metallic accents, and to the contrasts between different materials that merge within the same work, finding an organic and living balance.
Each piece is three-dimensional, inviting touch and offering both a visual and tactile experience.
My inspiration comes from multiple themes, all connected by a single thread: primordial nature, untouched, with its tensions and contrasts — sometimes brutal, yet always animated by a vital energythat organizes and gives form to chaos.
