SOUL OF STEEL
Steel preserves memory.
Memory of fire, pressure, transformation, and strength.
But also human memory.
Within the textured surface of the work, a barely perceptible face emerges from the background, almost consumed by the process itself.
A silent, blurred presence suggesting the value of the human gesture within an almost ancestral process: a path of transmutation shaped by fire and the incandescent flow of molten metal.
The work reflects on the relationship between the industrial production process — inorganic, brutal, extreme, powerful — and the human element — organic, fragile, resilient — transforming steel from a technical material into an essence capable of preserving experience, time, and identity.
Materials: structural paste, plaster, polyurethane, volcanic sand and stones, resin, gold ink, gold mica powder, resin, silver leaf.
