Giethoorn, Venice of the Netherlands in Overijssel , is surrounded by canals. Boats are the main vehicle for the native people. The cabins of reed roof make me immerse into this small fairy tale town. The background of my oil painting is the sunset scenery of Giethoorn. The plentiful and colourful sunset sky reflects on the lake, which increases the tranquil and fantasy atmosphere of Giethoorn.
