"Rainbow of Gratitude" is a synthesis of my profound personal and artistic journey in Alanya, Turkey. Created just before my departure, this large-scale oil painting captures a rare double rainbow emerging over the mountains and the sea—a moment I perceived as a powerful sign of hope and transition.
For me, this landscape is not merely a depiction of nature, but a physical embodiment of a "State". It represents the culmination of a year filled with growth, laughter, and the warmth of a supportive local community.
This work is a key piece in my project "Vanishing States: Earth and the Moment." While my field research often focuses on raw mineral pigments, this oil work synthesizes those tactile experiences into a spiritual narrative. It is a manifesto of gratitude to the planet and the people who shared this "Now" with me. It captures that "warm sadness" of saying goodbye while remaining deeply rooted in the happiness of the present second.
