"Monolith of Time" captures a unique perspective of the Alanya Fortress (Kale), accessible only from the sea.
In this piece, I explore the blurred boundary between human creation and the raw power of nature. The ancient stone walls and the basilica seem to grow directly from the rock, suggesting that history and geology have merged into a single, eternal entity. It is a meditation on the scale of time: where human effort becomes part of the "DNA of the Earth."
As part of my ongoing project "Vanishing States: Earth and the Moment," this painting documents a "state" of inaccessible grandeur. It is a moment of silent dialogue between the viewer and a history that remains unreachable and magnificent.
