CONCEPT

Impulse is part of the Microcosm series, inspired by slime molds — organisms capable of cooperation, adaptation, and collective decision-making despite having no brain or central nervous system. The work explores the moment when an external stimulus initiates movement and transforms individual elements into a responsive network. Biomorphic forms and interconnected structures become a metaphor for relationships and mutual influence, suggesting that life and identity are shaped not in isolation, but through continuous interaction with others and the surrounding environment.

Impulse reflects on the invisible forces that initiate change. A single stimulus can activate an entire system, creating movement, connection, and transformation. Inspired by the collective intelligence of slime molds, the work becomes a metaphor for human relationships: every encounter leaves a trace, influences our direction, and can trigger processes that extend far beyond the initial moment. The painting suggests that even the smallest impulse can become the beginning of profound change.
