Ignition of Life

CONCEPT

“Ignition of Life” depicts the moment when biological matter becomes energy — when a silent organism transforms into a radiant force. Inspired by slime molds in a transitional phase, the work shows forms that swell, rupture and release light, suggesting that life evolves through bursts of concentrated intensity. The painting explores how a simple organism initiates a process that exceeds its physical boundaries.

This piece reflects on the instant of transformation when potential becomes action. It symbolises thresholds — the point at which life accelerates, shifts direction or awakens into a new state. The work invites the viewer to consider how change often occurs not gradually, but explosively, through sudden inner ignition.
