Counterpoint: Symphonies of Memories emerged without a preconceived image or predetermined composition. Colours, gestures, and forms unfolded intuitively throughout the painting process. Rather than deciding what should appear, I followed the movement of the work as it revealed itself.
Only when the painting was complete did its meaning become clear. Distinct visual realities had emerged across the canvas, each with its own character, rhythm, and presence. Their differences remained intact, yet together they formed a coherent whole.
The title arose from this recognition. The work became a reflection on unity in diversity: the understanding that individuality and connection are not opposites, but complementary aspects of the same reality.
Diversity as the only way unity can become truly visible for what it is.
