The paradox of humanity is war. Another paradox is that in order to win peace, one must fight. The work seeks to highlight the contrast between this innate violence, cultural constructions and man's need to leave traces behind him. These contradictions hover against a neo-baroque background in which decorative excess and fullness contrast with reality. Informal and figurative elements compose a kind of cross, alluding to the paradoxical function of religion, which tries to make sense of reality, but sometimes fuels violence: even in an age of excess such as the present, the need emerges to offer a minimum of order, even if only geometrically, to the chaos of images and information.
