Atlas Of The Surgical ExistencE — Plate 01/09
This work is part of an ongoing visual research project that approaches living organisms as classified systems rather than familiar entities. The subject is observed, opened, and translated through an artificial analytical language, where biological structures become data, mapping, and interpretation.
The image combines painterly elements with a controlled scientific layout: grids, coordinates, and diagrammatic marks coexist with organic textures and internal anatomy. The result is a tension between precision and error, where the organism is no longer represented as it is, but as it is understood by an external, non-human observer.
Part of a structured series, each plate functions as a fragment of a larger atlas — a progressive attempt to decode life through classification, misinterpretation, and reconstruction.
