Bromelia is part of the Diamonds series, a body of work that investigates the relationships between structure, organization, and territory through modular systems constructed from everyday materials.
The work is composed of black plastic cable ties—objects associated with practices of connection, fixation, and control. Through their assembly, a radial geometry emerges that evokes botanical forms while oscillating between organic growth and systemic order.
Embedded within each module are chromatic fragments extracted from documentary photographs. Detached from their representational function, these visual remnants operate as traces rather than descriptions, shifting the image toward a material condition.
The installation reflects on the mechanisms through which systems organize, contain, and distribute bodies, memories, and movement. What emerges is not a representation of territory, but a structure in which order and fragility remain in constant tension.
