The sculpture was
born from the statement ‘space is not measured
with the gaze, but with hand and step’. Walking allows us to know the
world and to have a broader awareness we must have a deeper knowledge of nature
and that of the ground on which we walk, as Beuys said.
The work collects
the traces of my steps and directs the trajectory of my gaze. The pace of the
steps on the ground contributes to our narration, immersing us in the familiar
landscape in which the balance between fleeing towards the outside and
remaining closed inside, determines the contours of our life.
