Milan, yes.
But it could have been the square of any other city.
Maybe "your" city?
Everyone absorbed in their own thoughts, a disjointed community but united in the virtual world.
Why do we share photos of ourselves, express opinions, comment on everything and everyone, and then lack the courage to talk to those around us, not even looking at them, or not even apologizing if we accidentally bump into them while walking.
We "ask" for friendships one after another, like cherries, and spit out comments like pits.
In the end, on social media, we can be whoever we want, we can appear as we like because in the real world, it takes courage to be true to ourselves, and it's not easy. So, we keep our heads down on our phones, scrolling through the stories of people we don't even know, as we walk toward our "goal."
The criticism is not aimed at social media itself, but at those who think they can find the answers to their social needs in that virtual world.
