With its nine pieces, “No Diving: a flirtation with impossibility," unfolds as a concrete fresco where tension and poetics converge in a playful act of resistance against the sobriety of the mandate. The work erects a framework of the “solid_rational”—that boundary which, in its plainness, sustains a prohibition—and yet harbors a subtle crack, a summons to transgression. Imprinted with the law—in that imperative of “do not do it”—it simultaneously reveals a solemn humor: slogans like “you’ll leave your brains behind” or “try it at your own risk” expose the deadly irony of such extreme warning and turn the rule into fertile ground for doubt.
By
fracturing that structure, the bond with the axiom is severed, and the question
arises. How far can we reshape established gateways?
“No Diving”
thus maps a bodily record of the limit, inviting anyone who approaches to sense
the hidden possibility of crossing it. At this juncture, the photo series becomes both, a strategy and a tactic, driving questions onward.
